DHS Facility – 1810 N Edison

This building was converted from oil heat to natural gas in 2004 which immediately cut its carbon footprint in half by virtue of the new gas boiler and much lower carbon content of natural gas compared to fuel oil. In 2008, AIRE upgraded lighting and improved the heating controls to further reduce energy use here. Since 2007, this building has seem over a 30 percent reduction in electric use.
