The Energy Committee is a subcommittee of the Climate Change, Energy and Environment Commission (C2E2). The Energy Committee advises the County Manager on Community Energy Plan implementation. The Community Energy Plan is a long-term vision for transforming how Arlington generates, uses, and distributes energy, with an overall goal of reducing County-wide greenhouse gas emissions by 75% by 2050.
The Energy Committee generally meets monthly from 7:30 a.m to 9:30 a.m. at the following address:
Arlington County Government Building
2100 Clarendon Blvd.
Cherry/Dogwood Conference Rooms, Lobby Level
Arlington, VA 22201
However, as part of the County’s Covid-19 response, the Energy Committee will be meeting virtually (login and call-in information provided below) and may meet outside of the normally scheduled dates and times. Please visit this page for meeting updates and changes, and refer to an upcoming meeting’s agenda for the latest information on meeting time and date. The committee sets aside the first few minutes of each meeting for general public comment and encourages residents to provide comments on the community’s energy issues and opportunities. Note: individuals may speak for three minutes; those representing an organization may speak for five minutes.
