All living things need a home – a habitat. From mature Oak-Hickory forests, to low-lying seeps and springs, many habitats are found in Arlington.  We are working to protect the best and to restore degraded ones.

Native Plants

Arlington’s native plant community is surprisingly rich.  Twenty-one percent of the plant species in Virginia are found within the boundaries of Arlington – its smallest county!
